Some are talented by study, for others, it’s a natural imprint of their being. Where those roads meet you will find Designer Stephanie Welborne. Even in her youth, Stephanie was concerned not only with the beauty of a space but also with the way people wished to live and feel within that space. Due to this mindset she really gets to know her clients and their style, and thrives on all aspects of the interior design process. Stephanie creates sophisticated spaces that are both beautiful and timeless, that most importantly reflect the unique personality of her client.
Stephanie’s expertise spans large- and small-scale projects, both residential and commercial throughout the Southeast. From celebrity clients and CEO offices, to luxury car dealerships and residential renovations, she has been creating interiors to match the vision of her clients for over 23 years.
A veteran in the design business, Stephanie has long-standing relationships with and access to world-class manufacturers, custom craftsmen, and exceptional contractors. Her meticulous eye for detail and keen project management skills carries clients from concept development to final stage of installation.

Stephanie Welborne specializes in both residential and commercial design. She obtained her Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. After college she worked as a designer for commercial design firm, Klingman Williams in Charlotte, NC from 1995-2000. She launched Stephanie Welborne Interior Design LLC in 2000, a full-service custom design studio providing new construction, renovations, project management, finish selections and furnishings.
Stephanie is an Allied Member ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and participated in the 2004 ASID Symphony Guild Designer Showhouse, which was published in Southpark Magazine in Charlotte, NC. Her clients have included NASCARs elite drivers, and she was invited to participate in the 2011 Women of NASCAR Habitat for Humanity Design Challenge. Most recently, Stephanie was included in the 2018 inaugural edition of KNOW Charlotte publication featuring 100 of Charlotte's top female entrepreneurs, executives, leaders and influencers.
